Hi and thank you for visiting my site. My name is Rodney and I really enjoy woodworking.
As a kid my father had a business fixing washers and dryers. My brother and I would help any way that we could and we learned how to replace pumps, motors, belts, transmissions and tubs. Pretty much any part of the machine could be replaced without being overly complicated. It was a perfect way to learn mechanical skills that have benefitted me to this day.
I grew up without much in the way of financial resources so if I wanted something done, I figured out how to do it. Over the years, I picked up additional skills, and 50 years later, I don’t know of any project around the house that I couldn’t do. This doesn’t mean that I enjoy all of it, just that I can do it if I need to.
I’m at a stage in my life now where I no longer have to handle every single task on my own, yet I still find it quite challenging to part with the money that I have worked so hard to earn over the years.
