My daughter lives on the east coast and she just moved in to a new home. I wanted to make something nice for her, so I took a piece of Walnut and made a pretty simple set of tealight candles. The process was simply turning them round and adding an oil then varnish finish. The resulting set turned out rather well and I have gone on to make quite a few sets to sell.
The yoyo was a project that I never thought of doing before, but when I found out that my grandson was loving yoyos, I decided to learn how to make them(it’s amazing what you can learn on YouTube). The wood turned very cleanly and I finished it with a coat of varnish. I laser engraved his name on it to make it personal. I hope that he enjoys it for many years, and I will probably make more of them.
